About the Campaign
I want to be part of helping to solve this problem and make life better for those experiencing it. Australia is not a third world country and poverty should not be as big a problem as it is. I believe the solution starts with us. I have been involved with helping the homeless before and want to continue helping. While living on the Gold Coast, I organized a Christmas Lunch for the homeless and lonely in the Palm Beach area. This started as a simple BBQ for a few and progressed to a 3 course dinner with gifts and live entertainment.
I was a Pride of Australia medal finalist in the young leader category in 2015 for my community work including the Christmas lunch..
I am currently Darling Downs area coordinator for the Australian Anti Ice Campaign and as homelessness can lead to drug abuse and drug addiction can lead to homelessness then both causes are close to my heart.
We can all do something and something is better than nothing.
That’s why I am supporting Homeless for a Night and you can too. You can donate via this page to help keep the Base Services “Basement Soup Kitchen alive. My goal is to raise $1000
